Meet the Dallas Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

Otto’s Garage Door has been crawling under Dallas garage doors since 2004, which means we’ve seen just about everything the Texas climate can throw at a torsion spring. When you call (972) 736-9689, you won’t get a national call center in another time zone. You’ll get a real person who actually knows these trucks, works on these doors, and probably lives within twenty minutes of your neighborhood. No layers. No corporate ladder. Just the people whose name is on the van and the invoice. Here’s who you’re actually inviting to your house.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt, Owner

Otto started this company in 2004 after spending years fixing doors for a bigger outfit and getting tired of watching corners get cut. He does the estimating, answers the phone at odd hours, and still shows up on job sites when a door is being particularly stubborn. If you call for a quote, there’s a good chance it’s Otto himself on the line, and he’ll hold that number when he gets to your driveway. The 90-Day Done Right Promise is his idea and his signature on every invoice. He’s the one who’ll tell you a spring has maybe six months left in it rather than letting you find out at 7 a.m. on a workday.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Otto for eleven years and knows torsion spring math the way some people know baseball stats. He’s fluent in LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he can often diagnose a problem from the sound a door makes before he’s even out of the truck. Marcus is background-checked, uniformed, and handles most of the spring replacements in the northern Dallas neighborhoods. On weekends he restores a 1987 Ford F-150 and claims garage door work is less finicky.

Denise R., Service Coordinator

Denise is usually the voice on the other end of (972) 736-9689 during the day. She’s been coordinating schedules for Otto’s since 2016, and she keeps the response times tight without ever sounding rushed. Denise knows the difference between a door that can wait until tomorrow and one where your car is trapped inside and you’ve got a school pickup in forty minutes. She schedules the free estimates, handles the second-opinion requests, and keeps track of the standing offers like the $40 off any repair over $200. Born in Garland, she’ll occasionally drop a reference to old Dallas neighborhoods that takes the rest of the crew a second to catch.

Javi S., Senior Installer

Javi leads the new door installation jobs and brings a finish-carpenter’s eye to trim work that many door companies don’t bother with. He’s been installing Clopay and Amarr doors since 2014 and handles the measuring, leveling, and sealing that determine whether a new door lasts ten years or twenty. Javi is the person Otto sends when a homeowner has a written estimate from another company and wants a free second opinion. He’s also the one who keeps a five-gallon bucket of spare weatherstripping in his truck because Dallas summers do brutal things to rubber.

Caleb M., Apprentice Technician

Caleb is the newest member of the crew, learning the trade from Marcus and Otto the way it should be learned: hands-on and under close supervision. He’s already certified on opener installation and handles a lot of the parts runs, remote programming, and safety inspections. Before this he worked in HVAC, which means he understands how Texas heat quietly wrecks moving parts. If something on your door isn’t quite right, Caleb is the one double-checking it before the truck pulls away.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works by one simple rule: the name on the van is the name on the invoice and the name on the license. That means Marcus doesn’t install a spring he wouldn’t trust on his own door, Javi doesn’t leave a piece of trim that looks good from the street but cheap up close, and Denise doesn’t promise a time the crew can’t hit. It also means Otto backs the work personally. If something isn’t right within ninety days, one call brings him back, no runaround and no customer-service queue. That’s what owner-operated means around here. It’s not a marketing line. It’s the reason the company has been answering the phone in Dallas since 2004.
